A “neo-realist” version of The Invisible Man on the way – Film Stories

Hot on the heels of the hit The invisible Man movie release in 2020, now a new version of the story is on the way.

Leigh Whannall’s point of view The invisible Man, released in 2020, was a blockbuster of a hit, taking over $140 million on a budget of just $7 million. It was, you may recall, the last big blockbuster movie before the pandemic hit too.

Now a new release is on the way (from the story, not the pandemic, touch wood). As reported by Deadline, The dead thing is “presented as a neo-realist vision of a Invisible Man A modern urban legend and story from the era of online dating, the film follows a young woman who, lost in a series of senseless encounters, falls in love with a sensitive and charismatic man who she soon discovers is hiding a dark secret. which turns their affair into a twisted obsession”.

Blu Hunt will headline the film, alongside Ben Smith-Petersen, John Karna and Katherine Hughes.

Elric Kane makes his directorial debut with the film, working from a script he co-wrote with Webb Wilcoxen.

The dead thing production recently wrapped in Los Angeles, we’ll let you know as soon as we know more.
