However, now everything seems to be slowly returning to normal, but it seems that the government has not decided to run the festival, even almost, says one of the disappointed organizing members. Committee member MS Prasad in an exclusive chat with ETimes said: “Although the Telangana State Film Development Corporation (TSFDC) has sent letters to the Telangana Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reminding them of the festival above and that they are ready with all the arrangements for the event, the government has refused to organize the event for unknown reasons.

Therefore, the organizing team urges the government of Telangana to take the initiative and cooperate with the Telugu film chamber for the sake of Hyderabad’s reputation as a hub of international children’s film festival and rekindle the glory of Hyderabad and its film festival.
In 2003, the then Honorable Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Shri Jaipal Reddy, promised to make Hyderabad the permanent home of ICFF and run the festival on equal terms with any film festival like IFFI, Goa which seems to be inactive now.
