‘Dasara’: Non-theatrical rights to Nani-Keerthy Suresh film sold for crores?

It was in February that we learned that Nani signed his next one, entitled Dasara.
Co-starring National Award-winning actor Keerthy Suresh, the film began filming recently. Debutante Srikanth Odela is at the helm of this rural drama.
But, it looks like the film is already in demand even before its release, as reports suggest that its non-theatrical rights sold for a jaw-dropping price.
Why is this story important?
- Nani, affectionately known as Natural Star, was last seen in the smash hit Shyam Singha Royand Suresh’s skills are unmatched even though his latest version Good luck Sakhi received negative reviews from critics.
- But, his performance was praised.
- Also, their last film together, Local Nenuwas a blockbuster.
- So it’s no wonder that Dasara has a huge buzz around it.

The non-stage rights of Dasara were sold for Rs. 45 crores, according to reports.
This is the highest for any Nani-starrer. The second highest score in this case is held by Shyam Singha Roywhose rights were auctioned for Rs 35 crore.
Billed as a rural entertainer, the Telugu film is funded by Sudhakar Cherukuri under his Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas banner.

Santhosh Narayanan will compose the music and background music, while Sathyan Sooryan will be on board to handle the cinematography.
Apparently, the film will be based on a real incident that happened in the Singareni Coal Mines in Telangana, and is being made on a huge budget.
Nani plays a character called Dharani and her first look was released on March 20 to a resounding reception.
These Famous Actors Could Star In ‘Dasara’
Samantha Ruth Prabhu could also play the other female lead, but it is not confirmed yet.
Additionally, Malayalam actor Roshan Mathew will play a pivotal role in Dasara. This will mark his Telugu debut, if at all.
Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar and Zarina Wahab round out the cast for now.
Apart from DasaraNani has Ante Sundaraniki and Suresh will be seen in Sarkaru VaariPaata.
