Palm Springs International Film Awards to Honor Lady Gaga with Icon Award


Palm Springs, California (December 9, 2021) – The Palm Springs International Film Awards announced that Lady Gaga will receive the Icon Award for her performance in Gucci House. The Film Awards will take place in person on January 6, 2022 at the Palm Springs Convention Center and run until January 17, 2022. The event will be presented by American Express and sponsored by Entertainment Tonight.

After her memorable performance in A star is born, Lady Gaga sets the bar even higher in her portrayal of Patrizia Reggiani in Gucci House, the shocking and true story of the family behind the Italian fashion empire, ”said festival president Harold Matzner. “For this tour de force, we have the honor to present the Icon Prize to Lady Gaga.”

Former Icon Award recipients are Glenn Close, Willem Dafoe, Michael Douglas, Robert Duvall, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.
