‘Power of the Dog’ tops nominations – The Hollywood Reporter

The Vancouver Film Critics Circle has unveiled its international nominations, with Jane Campion’s The power of the dog leading the field this year with five honours.

The Netflix drama, which bowed at Venice, received Best Picture nods, a Best Director nomination for Campion, a Best Supporting Actress nod for Kirsten Dunst and Best Actor nods. support for Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jesse Plemons.

The Best Picture contest also includes the Sundance hit CODA by director Sian Heder and Belfast, which earned Best Director and Best Screenplay nominations for Kenneth Branagh. by Maggie Gyllenhaal The lost girl will compete in the Best Screenplay category, while there is also a Best Actress mention for Olivia Colman and a Best Supporting Actress mention for Jessie Buckley.

Bradley Cooper received two nominations, one for Best Actor for alley of nightmares and another for Best Supporting Actor for Licorice pizza. Winners of the Vancouver Film Critics Circle International Awards will be announced at the VFCC Awards Ceremony on March 7.
