SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s film costs more than Baahubali

Trust SS Rajamouli to set new benchmarks in the Indian film industry. The director rewrote history by directing Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion. Not only were the films made on a huge budget, but their collections also broke box office records. Needless to say, fans are hoping Rajamouli outdoes himself with the upcoming RRR: Rise, Roar, Revolt movie. Well, it looks like the film has surpassed Baahubali, at least in terms of film budget.

According to a report by Indian Express, Andhra Pradesh Minister Perni Nani revealed the information in a statement. The Minister’s statement to the press reads: “We have received a request from the creators of RRR. According to this information, the producers spent Rs 336 crore on the film, excluding GST and cast and crew salaries. Soon, the file will reach the Prime Minister and we will decide on the new increase in the price of cinema tickets.

Needless to say, the film’s budget will easily exceed INR 400 crore in total, given that the film has some of the best stars. The film has Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the lead, and Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in leading roles. Earlier, media claimed that while Ram Charan and Jr. NTR charged INR 45 crore each, Ajay Devgn agreed to be part of the film for INR 25 crore while Alia Bhatt charged INR 9 crore. SS Rajamouli reportedly opted for a 30% profit share of the film.
