The Best Actress award was won by Sofia Kappel for Bella in pleasure, while Best Editing went to Hanna Lejonqvist and Dino Jonsäter for The most beautiful boy in the world.

Elsewhere, Hogir Hirori won Best Documentary for Sabayawhile a documentary also won Best International Film, Jonas Poher Rasmussen To run awaythe hybrid animation project that made the shortlist for this year’s international Oscars.

Among the honorary awards were director and screenwriter Suzanne Osten, who won the special Hedersguldbaggen prize, while director, animator and screenwriter Johan Hagelbäck won the Gullspira, which recognizes contributions to children’s films.

The Guldbagge Trophy, named after the Swedish word for the rose chafer beetle, is perhaps the most distinctive award in the film world (see photo above).
