Rebel Wilson hosts the 2022 Bafta Film Awards on March 13, with the ceremony returning to London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The Australian actress has gone viral twice in the past after presenting individual Bafta awards and has been praised for ‘single-handedly breathing life’ into the event with her amusing speeches and comments about the lack of diversity during rewards.

When did Rebel Wilson start losing weight?
Wilson, who played “Fat Amy” on Pitch Perfect, embarked on a “healthy year” in 2020, aiming to improve her health.
Addressing the BBCshe said: “Even though I was always very confident that I was taller, and you know, would walk a red carpet, even though I was probably double the height, sometimes triple the weight, of other actresses, but like, I still felt confident in that.
“But I knew deep down that some of the emotional eating behaviors I was doing [were] not healthy.”
In 2020, Wilson said The sun which she names her years, and that “ was always going to be the year of health”.
She said: “Weirdly, this year was always going to be the year of health. I name my years now, and it’s kind of having these resolutions but for the whole year.
“I always thought maybe I was psychic and I always felt that this year I wasn’t going to work much.
“I also turned 40 in March and so I thought that was going to be it. This will be the year for me to just focus on the health benefits.
“It’s not like I want to lose weight and hit a certain number. It’s more than that, it’s about mentally dealing with why I was eating too much.
In an Instagram video, titled “Year of Health 2020,” Wilson also explained that she was motivated to improve her health by a desire to freeze her eggs, in case she wanted to start a family in the future.
She said: “I was thinking about fertility and having good quality eggs in the bank, so I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll do that. I will regain my health”.
Why was her team against her weight loss?
In her BBC interview, Wilson said she was pushed back by her team when she revealed she was embarking on her fitness journey.
She said: “I actually got a lot of pushback from my own team here in Hollywood when I said, ‘Okay, I’m going to do this health year.’ I feel like I’m really going to physically transform and change my life.
“And they were like ‘Why? Why would you want to do that? Because I was making millions of dollars being, you know, the funny fat girl, and being that person.
It was her role as Fat Amy in Perfect which saw Wilson become a household name.
In the 2020 Sun interview, Wilson said she was being paid “a lot of money to be bigger” for the sake of her acting career.
She said: “I had a job where I was paid a lot of money to be bigger, which can mess with your head a little bit sometimes.”
How does Rebel Wilson lose weight?
In November 2020, Wilson checked into the exclusive VivaMayr Wellness Center in Austria, which provides clients with a holistic diagnosis and treatment plan based on their needs.

Since starting her weight loss journey, she is said to have lost 5.5 stone (35 kg or 77 lbs).
She is now focused on maintaining her new healthy weight.
