LOS ANGELES, Calif., April 15, 2022 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Executive Producer Sheila Houlahan’s ‘hybrid’ feature ‘Night, Mother’ is an official nominee for the 2022 Webby Awards in the following 3 virtual and remote categories: Media and Entertainment, Technical Achievement and Better Audience Onboarding.

Filmed in 2021 on Twitch.tv at the height of the pandemic, this daring new “film hybrid” fused cutting-edge audience integration and live performance with traditional cinematic media, while maintaining accessible mental health resources / fair and LMHC custodial moderators for all viewers.

A post-film roundtable focused on mental health and suicide prevention with notable panelists such as Khleo Thomas (Holes) and “Take This” executive director Eve Crevoshay.

“I wanted to make sure our audience was taken care of while being exposed to incredibly engaging content,” said executive producer Sheila Houlahan. “Twitch.tv allows filmmakers to engage with audience members in real time, and it only made sense that we had resources/recovery rooms/LMHC vendors available for anyone who needed them.”

As a zero-budget production, “Night, Mother” is an amazing contender alongside other nominees such as: Call of Duty, Blumhouse, Paramount and HBO Max.

“I can’t believe this is happening! What a dream to see a narrative about suicide alongside some of today’s biggest names in media,” Houlahan said in response to the nominations.

The winners of the Webby Awards will be announced on April 26, 2022, and the ceremony will take place on May 16, 2022 in New York City.
