The long-awaited trailer for Chup: Revenge of the Artist finally came out. The thriller film directed by R Balki stars Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, Dulquer Salmaan and Shreya Dhanwanthary in the lead roles. The creators teased posters and short snippets of the film before the trailer, and now the plot of Chup finally came out. The murder mystery is based on a serial killer who hunts down movie critics who give movies low ratings.
Sunny is seen as an investigator in the film who is looking for this serial killer who cannot handle the film’s negative reviews. While Pooja plays a psychiatrist in the thriller and is seen interrogating someone in the trailer. On the other hand, Dulquer and Shreya have a romantic angle, but there is a twisted and exciting undertone.
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan made his musical composition debut for Chup. Balki discussed this and remarked that it was all extremely spontaneous. He had asked Bachchan to see Chup. The megastar invited the filmmaker over after seeing him, played him a song on his piano, and explained that’s how the film and the characters made him feel. Bachchan was really moved and Balki was overjoyed.
The legendary star quickly gave the song to the film after the director asked if he could use it. The first film to include his official work as credits music is Chup.
R. Balki and Amitabh have already collaborated on many important projects, including Paa, Cheeni Kumand Shamitab. Apart from these, the renowned actor has appeared in English Vinglish, Ki and Kaand that of Balki Padman in the cameo parts.
The film is billed as a romantic psycho-thriller. The film would be a tribute to Guru Dutt, a master director, and his 1959 masterpiece, Kaagaz Ke Phool.
On September 23, 2022, the psycho-thriller Chup should be released in theaters.
