Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth has announced that he has wrapped filming on the long-awaited sequel to his worldwide hit action flick. Extraction 2 (2020).
The actor, who has several blockbuster films under his belt, is reprising his role as Tyler Rake in the sequel after revealing last year that his character was not dead at the end of the 2020 film.
The 38-year-old Aussie actor took to his Instagram handle to share news of the sequel’s conclusion.
“It’s a wrap! Another one Extraction movie down. To grow into an epic franchise that was only possible with the blood, sweat, tears and passion of our incredible cast and crew. A huge thank you to everyone who has been with us throughout this journey and congratulations to many others, many loving team. I can’t wait for you all to see this one! @netflix @samhargrave @therussobrothers #extraction2,” he wrote alongside video from the set of the film.
Sam Hargrave, who also directed the first part, is directing the sequel. Joe and Anthony Russo return as producers.
Extraction, which premiered on Netflix in April 2020, turned out to be a massive hit. In addition to Hemsworth, the big budget film also featured a number of Indian actors including Randeep Hooda, Rudhraksh Jaiswal and Priyanshu Painyuli.
There is no official release date for Extraction 2.
