Little Pictures is a micro-budget short film commissioning program that encourages new talent to make their first funded short film. This year is doubly exciting as we have two rounds of commissions, one for filmmakers and one for producers.
Aiesha Marr told DGWGO Entertainment News: “I work in Glasgow at GMAC Film, and we are currently doing outreach work across Scotland for our program called Little Pictures. This program will last 1 year and we are looking for anyone over the age of 16 who would like to create their own short film. Last year we had a 70 year old woman who had never done anything in film, she is now working with the BBC on a short film!
At GMAC Film, we are passionate about inclusion within the film industry and therefore actively encourage applications from underrepresented filmmakers. This year we will be hiring up to 12 filmmakers from across Scotland and are open to applicants of all ages from 16 onwards.
This free program encourages new and emerging filmmakers to take creative risks, develop their voices, and kick-start their cinematic journey. We offer training, mentorship and support from GMAC Film and other industry professionals during the development and production stages of your films, as well as production funding of £2,000.
