film profile] (2016), Onoda was shot entirely in Asia, and in the Japanese language. Written by Arthur Harari and Vincent Poimiro, this international co-production (associating France, Germany, Belgium and Italy) looks back on the fate of Lieutenant Hiroo Onoda who went to the island of Lubang (in the Philippines) in 1945 to counter the offensive American. Japan eventually surrenders, but Onoda continues to fight. Trained to survive in the jungle at all costs and blindly refusing to believe the end of the Second World War, he continued his fight for 10,000 days… The production was subcontracted to Nicolas Anthome (one of European Film Promotion’s Producers on the Move 2018 – read our maintenance) from bathysphere, while the distribution in French theaters was supported by The pactwho also drive international sales.
