The National Film Awards were presented today in person at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. the price were announced earlier this year and the awards will be presented to the winners by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu.

The 67th national awards show was delayed from last year until this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Among the winners were Dhanush and Manoj Bajpayee who received their award for best actor and Kangana Ranaut received their award for best female actor.

Super star Rajnikanth also received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest honor bestowed on those in the film industry.

Chhicchore Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Sajid Nadiadwala have reportedly dedicated their Best Picture award to Sushant Singh Rajput, who died last year, saying the late actor will always remain an “integral part” of the film.

Kangana Ranaut won her third Best Actor award for his performances in Manikarnika (2019) and Panga (2020) while Manoj Bajpayee and Dhanush shared the award for best actor for their respective roles in Bhonsle and Asuran, which also won the award for Best Tamil Film.
