The winner of the 2021 award package, winning the overall category for best short film is: The present, directed by Farah Nabulsi. The present was nominated for Best Live Action Short Film at the 2021 Oscars and won a BAFTA for Best UK Short Film in 2021.
The Next Generation Indie Film Awards have teamed up with leading film companies to put together a package of awards for the 2021 winner of the Best Short Film category. This package contains more $ 125,000 a credit value towards services and movie rentals aimed at helping the winning filmmaker create their next passion project by Los Angeles. The prize package includes production rental credits from Quixote, Final Draft software, a camera package from Keslow Camera, post-production services from Sugar Studios LA, a screening at the American Film Market, and Moreover.
Next Generation Indie Film Awards Thrilled to Nominate Four-Time Emmy and Golden Globe Nominees Natasha Lyonne (Russian doll, Orange is the new black) as the recipient of the 2021 Indie Darling Prize – an honorary award recognizing a pioneering artist who has made outstanding contributions to film and television. Lyonne is a talented designer who continues to push the boundaries as a producer, actress, screenwriter and director after more than three decades in the industry.
