Norwegian zero-budget ski film delivers big time

I love this DIY movie shot entirely in Norway for 2 years. Project of total passion for Trygg Lindkjolen who not only stars as an athlete in the film alongside her pal Christopher Lange, but also scored on the soundtrack. Renaissance mountain man for sure. Totally grainy film, very enjoyable.

Dimmu Topptur is the big mountain ski rock’n’roll film project of myself (Trygg Lindkjølen) and Christopher Lange. It features powder skiing, big mountain charging, zero informative dialogue, and an all-original rock soundtrack made by myself especially for the movie. (And Christopher did the soundcaping for the intro on his synth).
We made the conscious decision to make this film a passion project, with zero budget, in order to have full creative control over the outcome. We were both working more or less full-time during the making of this film, and we spent pretty much all of our free time filming those two winters.
I also want to point out that with the exception of some powder runs in the first segment (from Sogndal Skisenter), all the runs in the film are within walking distance. The entire film is shot in the Sogndal and Sunnmøre areas of western Norway, and most of the shots are filmed with phones and light drones, making us a production team of two efficient and light people in the mountains.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, and a big thank you to our sponsors:
