The awards were presented at a special ceremony held today at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai
As announced on Friday, the State Government of Tamil Nadu presented the awards to the winners of the State Film Award for the years 2009 to 2014 at a special ceremony held today at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai.
It is worth mentioning that the list of winners was announced in 2017, and only the presentation of it took place today. Among the winners are the best actors of the fraternity like Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sivakarthikeyan and Vikram. While Nayanthara won Best Actor for Raja RaniVijay Sethupathi and Sivakarthikeyan won the Special Jury Best Actor Award for Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara/ Pannayarum Padminiyum and Marina. Vikram won Best Actor for his performance in the 2010 film Mani Ratnam Raavanan.
