The European Film Awards announce their nominees in the Comedy, Animated Feature and Short Film categories

10/19/2022 – Recent films by Hannes Þór Halldórsson, Fernando León de Aranoa, Catherine Corsini, Signe Baumane and Alain Ughetto, among others, are included

The european film academy announced the nominations for the European Film Prize‘ categories European Comedy, European Animated Feature Film and European Short Film.

Nominations in the European Comedy category have been determined by a committee made up of members of the European Film Academy’s board of directors and European film professionals. The committee that decided on the nominations for the European animated feature was made up of representatives from the European Film Academy and CARTOON, the European Animation Film Association. The nomination committees will be presented on www.europeanfilmawards.eu after the nomination phase has been completed. The European Short Film category is organized by the European Film Academy in cooperation with a series of film festivals across Europe. At each of these festivals, an independent jury presented one of the European short films in competition with an entry. From the full list of 29 applicants, participating festivals nominated five films for the European Film Awards. The 4,400 members of the European Film Academy will vote for the big winners.

The ceremony will take place on December 10 in Reykjavik.
