tick, tick… BOOM! marks the directorial debut for Grammy Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda. Written for the stage by Jonathan Larson originally as a rock monologue and written for the screen by Steven Levenson, tick, tick… BOOM! tells the story of Jon (Andrew Garfield), a young theater composer in New York City. Jon, like many others in the big city, dreams of writing America’s next great musical. Days before he presents his work in a performance that could either launch or destroy his career, Jon feels pressure from everywhere, especially those close to him. As time goes by, Jon is at a crossroads and needs to figure out what he, like all of us, needs to do with the time allotted to him.
